The future is also terracotta

Who'd have thought this would be waiting for me on the other side of the mountain?

While I was sad to see the Mississippi Crocodile go, it's really time for change. 1978 240 D, the pinnacle of German electro-mechanical engineering (I have that on good authority) With unknown hundreds of thousands on the clock, but that's what they do best.

  1. I have a friend who can afford virtually any car he wants, but takes pleasure in buying used socks on Ebay and driving old cars. One evening we met at a restaurant and after the meal he invited me out to see his "new" car. It was a large diesel Mercedes maybe ten years older than yours. I asked him if he didn't have one that was newer. With smile he replied that he had had three of them and they all had more miles on them than the ones he traded in. Trading his way down through life.
